N.C. Ag Star Home Grown Voice Talent Search Finals

Reese Mayfield  is a singer-songwriter from Raleigh, NC.  She began her music career at age 2 when she got her first drum kit for Christmas.   She named her band “Time Gets the Clock” and wrote songs about bedtime and going to the mountains.   Fast forward from that early start and Reese has developed into a polished songwriter tackling subjects like making relationships last and taking care of your mental health.

Reese began piano lessons at age 6 and violin at age 8.  She is self taught on guitar, ukulele, mandolin and drums.   Growing up she enjoyed playing for family and friends and in high school began performing at local coffee shops and breweries.  This year she was thrilled to take the stage at Merlefest in the Kid’s Showcase.  Reese also had the opportunity to play in Nashville at the Commodore Grill.  And she was chosen as a finalist in the NC Agriculture Department’s Homegrown Talent Search.

Reese’s style is alternative pop.   Her favorite influences include Billie Eilish and Lizzy McAlpine.  With her rich vocals and thoughtful lyrics, she loves to take her audience on a journey of exploration.  Take a listen here or live at one of her upcoming shows.
